In Canada's labour market, there are five million working women aged 40 and over.
The average age of meopause in Canada is 51 years, although perimenopause starts many years earlier.
95% of women experience peri/menopause symptoms. Sleep, energy, concentration, mood, memory, confidence and overall wellbeing are often affected— and those symptoms don't disappear when someone goes to work.
Unmanaged peri/menopause symptoms cost the Canadian economy $3.5 billion per year in reduced productivity, missed days of work, fewer working hours or women leaving the workforce entirely. Without adequate workplace support, employers risk losing experienced, talented women at a critical stage in their career.
Three quarters of working women agree that there should be more support in the workplace around peri/menopause and that employers would also benefit if women received better workplace support to navigate the transition.

As a Registered Psychotherapist and experienced health researcher, I offer engaging, evidence-informed talks and interactive training to help organizations:
Understand the impact of peri/menopause on the workplace;
Equip managers and colleagues to provide meaningful support;
Empower employees with the knowledge and strategies to navigate the transition.
I bring a unique combination of expertise to peri/menopause education.
I have spent three decades working in health research and translating complex evidence into clear, accessible resources that people can use in the real world- such as advocating for themselves when speaking with their GP.
As a Registered Psychotherapist, I understand the importance of strategies that help people navigate a life stage that can feel physically, emotionally and psychologically overwhelming.
I look beyond the latest headline or social media trend to ask: What does the evidence really tell us — and how can we use it in real life?
My goal isn't to prescribe how people should experience peri/menopause or suggest that women need to be treated differently. I want to make space for conversations, provide accurate, evidence-informed information, reduce stigma, and help organisations understand how they can create a more supportive and inclusive workplace.
Sessions are always tailored to your organization’s workforce, priorities and goals - from focused talks and interactive workshops to organizational training, policy reviews and best-practice recommendations.

Practical, Evidence-Informed Learning
This 90-minute interactive session brings together evidence about the physical, cognitive and mental health aspects of peri/menopause with practical strategies participants can use in their everyday lives and at work.
The session is informative, interactive and nuanced. Peri/menopause is not a one-size-fits-all experience, and neither are the strategies for navigating it

What Participants are Saying
"Normalize conversations"
“I found Amy’s session on menopause and peri-menopause truly invaluable. I learned about some symptoms I was experiencing that I did not know were connected to menopause like brain fog and general fatigue…We were able to normalize conversations about a topic that isn’t often discussed amongst colleagues in the workplace. Amy was quick to put everyone at ease with her warm personality. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone who is interested in learning more about menopause and how to manage its symptoms.”
"Access to the right information"
“Peri/Menopause is complicated. Having access to the right information is a strategy to help advocate for yourself and the support needed.”
"Valuable evidence-based information"
“Overall, I really valued all the evidence-based information, delivered in-person, and not in an all-or-nothing, black-or-white way that social media often does.”
These comments reflect what I aim to bring to every session: reliable information, a balanced perspective and practical tools that help people feel better equipped to navigate the transition.
Whether you're looking for a keynote-style talk, an interactive workshop or training tailored to your organization's needs, I'd love to discuss how I can help.
Let's make peri/menopause something people can talk about — not something they have to struggle through silently.
